From March 2013 I'll be living up in Rostock on the North German Plain so will focus on classic European Mountain Races for the summer. I've made tentative plans til August, but these are liable to change as I find out about other races. But at the moment I'll target the following races, interspersed with local smaller races in North Germany.

17th June: Carnia Sky race (25km, 2000m ascent). The Skyrace Carnia runs through the Carnic Alps in the north-east of Italy. The route runs up to Monte Floritz (2184m), down to the Austrian border crossing on the mountain pass (1360m), up again to the peak of Pal Piccolo (1800m), and then downhill to the finish. One of the highlights on the course is running through the World War
One trenches and fortifications on Pal Piccolo, which have been restored
as an open-air museum.
